DIY: How to Get A Grab Button For Your Blog?

Every blogger wants and ALMOST need a Grab Button. I just created my Grab Button. Well, what on earth IS a Grab Button? It's an encoded button you get to add on to your sidebar (or wherever you want it) so your members/followers/viewers can click on it or "grab" it. Now when this happens, YOUR button appears on their website. Hey, what better way to advertise huh? :) Honestly, it's a great way to network, share info and materials with - especially with others in your interest group.

Creating a Blog Button -if you already have one, please disregard Step #1-
Step #1 : Creating a logo or a picture. Mine is from a website which has fab clip arts (here's her link). Be sure to read the disclaimer on sites you wish to copy pictures from. Size has to be no larger than 150x150 pixels IF you want to add a caption to the picture (What's the point if there's no caption, right). Or if you'd rather go without, then a picture size of 200x200 pixels is the maximum.

Step #2 : Uploading your picture. Do it on Photobucket, quick and easy sign-up and copy the DIRECT LINK of your picture.

Step #3 : Placing the  "Grab Button" in your sidebar. In your blog, click on Design, when the window pops up click Add a gadget and choose HTML/Javascript. In the title area, you can write whatever you want. Then in the HTML box, post the HTML below. Don't forget to SAVE it!

<center><a href="YOUR FULL WEBSITE URL HERE">
<img src="YOUR DIRECT LINK HERE" border="0"/></a>
<textarea rows="4" cols="15"><center><a href="YOUR WEBSITE URL HERE">
<img src="YOUR DIRECT LINK HERE" border="0"/>
</a></center></textarea></center>

Note: quotation marks are important, don't backspace it.

Step #4 : Voila! You've got your Grab Button! Make sure to test it
so it brings you to your Website!
